In this paper, we propose the design of a novel gait rehabilitation passive device to training the people who lost their walking ability due to neurological injuries, such as spinal cord injury and stroke. As known, the movements of pelvis play an important role in balance and propulsion during a gait cycle. We simulate a passive orthosis to assist the motion of pelvis of gait patients. We expect that the proposed orthosis, connected to pelvis, assists the patients to regain initial gait pattern by creating the rotations of pelvis close to reference ones during ambulation on treadmill. This optimized pelvic device is un-motorized and contains only optimum passive elements. However, with this device, we consider a Body Weight Support (BWS) to unload a portion of human body weight during treadmill training. The design is accomplished based on a proper dynamic model of human body by focusing on motions of lower leg body segments. The structural configuration of device is determined during an optimization process defined on dynamic model. The simulation results show the time trajectories of pelvic rotations are close to reference trajectories and the optimum passive device can create the desired motion of pelvis without any effort of subject. Also, the results of sensitivity analysis of device by varying the optimum design parameters by 1-3 percent in addition to variation in anthropometry parameters of subject by 1-5 percent show the robust and decent performance of pelvis orthosis during treadmill gait.Keywords

This study was conducted in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh for identifying the constraints faced by potato growers. Six villages were selected randomly from the potato growing areas and 20 farmers were selected from each village, thus, 120 respondents were included in the sample for investigation. Results showed that important constraints as perceived by the respondents were improper technical knowledge about bio-agents and bio-insecticides, lack of knowledge about light trap and pheromone trap, high cost of seed, fertilizers and insecticides etc. This needs attention of the KVK and State Deptt. for delineating the constraints which in turn would enhance the adoption of the IPM practicing leading to the green and clean agriculture.Keywords

Narrow gap welding is an effective process for joining thick plates (2" to 12") of carbon steel, low alloys steel and high strength low alloy steels. But it requires some development in torch design, wire feeding mechanism and welding procedure for preventing all sorts of weld defects before practical application. Narrow gap welding technology is associated with various conventional arc welding technology like GMAW, GTAW, SAW, FCAW&SMAW. Several fabricators world over, especially in Japan have developed their own equipment working on different principles [1]
Standard torches for NGW are not available routinely in the market. Torches for NGW are specially designed (custom made) for various NGW applications. Design of torch will differ from processes to process and application to application. Paper highlights the different torch designs used by researcher for different narrow gap welding technologies like

The participation of women in self-help groups (SHGs) made a significant impact on their empowerment both in social and economic aspects. This study addresses women empowerment through self-help groups in Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh. Self-help groups (SHGs) are becoming one of the important means for the empowerment of poor women in almost all the developing countries including India. Madhya Pradesh is no exception as regards the role played by women’s collectives, known by different names for emancipation and empowerment of poor women. This study conducted in the year 2013 in Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh in India. Study revealed that fifty per cent lac growers had high level innovativeness,(60%) lac growers in the low aspiration level, among the eight components of lac production identified, it was found that all the lac growers had a good knowledge on all components. However, knowledge on the spray of pesticide was partial among 40 per cent lac growers and 30 per cent had poor knowledge on it. Majority (80%) of the members of lac growers, before adoption lac production were practicing agriculture+labour, and only 20 per cent engaged in agriculture. After adopting lac production, there was a shift in the livelihood pattern as 60 per cent of them adopted lac production+ agriculture + labour while remaining 40 per cent were engaged agriculture + lac production. Mahalaxmi Adivasi Mahila Lac Utpadak has grown upto be a matured SHG, since its formation in 2005-06. Its functioning’s are conducting regular meeting of the SHG conducts, maintenance of bank account and profit sharing and market survey for current lac price in Mandis. All the young non- participating respondents were of the opinion that participating women lac growers increased their investments in agriculture, but only 58.33 per cent agreed on their diversified activities.Middle aged non- participating respondents were of the opinion that participating women lac growers increased investment in agriculture, but 91.66 per cent agreed on their diversified activities. Old aged nonparticipating respondents were of the opinion that participating women lac growers investment in agriculture, but 83.33 per cent agreed their diversified activities.Keywords

Hot cracking refers to cracking that occurs during welding, casting or hot working at temperatures close to the melting point of the materials. Hot cracking susceptibility of austenitic stainless steel is a problem arising during welding of austenitic stainless steels, particularly in fully austenitic and stabilized compositions. Hot cracking in stainless steel welds is caused by low-melting eutectics containing impurities such as S, P and alloy elements such as Ti, Nb. In stabilized stainless steels, Ti and Nb react with S, N and C to form low melting eutectics. In austenitic stainless steels, segregation plays an overwhelming role in determining cracking susceptibility. Total crack length (TCL), has been used extensively as hot cracking parameter. [1,2]
In the present investigation, an attempt has been made to study hot cracking susceptibility of stabilized ASS on transvarestraint test unit, with acidic and basic coated electrodes.
Experiment, shows that acidic and basic coated electrodes both are more or less equally susceptible to hot.
